Block Bears (Jonesville, LA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Delta Charter Storm (Ferriday, LA), 57-55 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Block upgrades its record to 2-5 on the campaign. The Bears host Tensas (St. Joseph, LA) to play the Panthers in a 1A District 4 bout on Thursday, December 29. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 2-7. Tensas lost 49-44 in their recent non-league bout against Lincoln Prep (Grambling, LA)

Next up, the Storm play the Madison Jaguars (Tallulah, LA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 29. Delta Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record. The Jaguars come into the bout with a 12-2 record after their 73-23 non-league win over Delhi Charter (Delhi, LA).
