The Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) basketball crushed the visiting Rural Retreat Indians (Rural Retreat, VA), 79-58 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Blue Devils (5-5) will now prepare for their test against Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA). The Pioneers go into the Mountain Empire test with a 11-3 record. In their last test, Fort Chiswell was trounced by Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA), 85-81, in a league test.

The Indians now own a 4-8 record. They play next when they host Patrick Henry for a Hogoheegee test on Friday, January 14. Rural Retreat will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 66-54 league loss to Lebanon (Lebanon, VA). The Rebels record now stands at 2-7.
