The Galax Maroon Tide football squad scored 34 points and restricted the visiting George Wythe Maroons to 19 in the Maroon Tide league victory on Friday.

The Maroon Tide now possess a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Giles for a Mountain Empire battle on Friday, October 13.

Coming up next, the Maroons play the Giles Spartans (Pearisburg, VA) in a Mountain Empire battle, on Friday, October 6. George Wythe will attempt to advance on its 2-3 season record. The Spartans enter the battle with a 2-3 record after their 63-21 league win over Auburn (Riner, VA).
