In Friday's league game, the Mt. Pleasant Vikings (Mt. Pleasant, PA) football team were victorious over the visiting South Allegheny Gladiators (McKeesport, PA), by a score of 42-27.

The Vikings (6-3) will now prepare for their game against Southmoreland (Alverton, PA). The Scotties come into the WPIAL AAA Interstate game with a 5-4 record. In their last game, Southmoreland was knocked off by Belle Vernon (Belle Vernon, PA), 49-7, in a league game.

The Gladiators now sport a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Greensburg Salem for a WPIAL AAA Interstate game on Friday, October 27. South Allegheny will meet a Golden Lions team coming off a 48-13 league loss to Elizabeth Forward (Elizabeth, PA). The Golden Lions record now stands at 1-8.
