Virginia High School Football - Halifax County topples Magna Vista
October 26, 2023: South Boston, VA 24592 The Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA) football defeated the visiting Magna Vista Warriors (Ridgeway, VA), 21-13 in Thursday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Comets face the Martinsville Bulldogs (Martinsville, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, November 2. Halifax County will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Bulldogs enter the bout with a 5-4 record after their 35-0 non-league loss to Bassett (Bassett, VA).
The Warriors (7-3) will now prepare for their bout against Mecklenburg County (Baskerville, VA). The Phoenix enter the bout with a 1-7 record. In their last bout, Mecklenburg County was toppled by George Washington (Danville, VA), 12-0, in a league bout.
