Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Grand Island Islanders (Grand Island, NE) and the visiting Hastings Tigers (Hastings, NE), saw Grand Island's basketball squad knock off Hastings by a tally of 50-39.

With the victory, Grand Island improves its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Islanders host North Platte (North Platte, NE) to play the Bulldogs in a A District TBD challenge on Tuesday, December 19. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 1-2. North Platte won 70-56 in their recent non-league challenge against Alliance (Alliance, NE)
