In Friday's league game, the host Covenant Eagles baseball team scored a tight 9-6 victory over the Carlisle Chiefs.

The Eagles (6-7) will now prepare for their game against Miller School of Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA). The Mavericks go into the VISAA Virginia Independent game with a 14-12 record. In their last game, Miller School of Albemarle tipped Virginia Episcopal School (Lynchburg, VA), 11-6, in a league game.
