Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Great Valley tops Sun Valley

January 18, 2024: Aston, PA 19014

Great Valley Patriots (Malvern, PA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Sun Valley Vanguards (Aston, PA), 49-39 in a league bout.

With the victory, Great Valley upgrades its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Mt. St. Joseph Academy (Flourtown, PA) to play the Magic in a non-league bout on Sunday, January 21. The Magic come into the bout with a record of 5-11. Mt. St. Joseph Academy lost 58-47 in their recent non-league bout against Bayard Rustin (West Chester, PA)

Next up, the Vanguards play the Phoenixville Phantoms (Phoenixville, PA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 20. Sun Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Phantoms come into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 84-42 league win over Methacton (Norristown, PA).
