Virginia High School Basketball - West Springfield thwarts Westfield
December 2, 2023: Springfield, VA 22152 The West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA) basketball knocked off the visiting Westfield Bulldogs (Chantilly, VA), 52-33 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Spartans (2-1) will now prepare for their test against Fairfax (Fairfax, VA). The Lions go into the District 4 test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Fairfax notched a victory over Hylton (Woodbridge, VA), 48-28, in a non-league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Yorktown for a non-league test on Monday, December 4. Westfield will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 41-35 non-league loss to Falls Church (Falls Church, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 0-2.
