Ohio High School Basketball - Elyria can't hold off Lorain

The Lorain Titans basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the visiting Elyria Pioneers to 47 in the Titans non-league victory on Thursday.

The Titans now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cleveland Heights for a Lake Erie contest on Tuesday, January 3. Lorain will battle a Tigers team coming off a 65-63 non-league loss to Central Catholic (Toledo, OH). The Tigers record now stands at 6-3.

The Pioneers (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Avon Lake (Avon Lake, OH). The Shoremen come into the Southwestern contest with a 8-0 record. In their last contest, Avon Lake edged Rocky River (Rocky River, OH), 65-39, in a non-league contest.
