The Avon Eagles basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Elyria Pioneers to 46 in the Eagles league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Avon Lake for a Southwestern contest on Tuesday, December 13. Avon will battle a Shoremen team coming off a 80-73 league win over Berea-Midpark (Berea, OH). The Shoremen record now stands at 3-0.

The Pioneers (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Berea-Midpark (Berea, OH). The Titans enter the Southwestern contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Berea-Midpark was defeated by University School (Hunting Valley, OH), 77-72, in a non-league contest.
