Fans at Friday's league challenge between the LaPoynor Flyers (LaRue, TX) and the host Frankston Indians (Frankston, TX), saw LaPoynor's basketball squad knock off Frankston by a tally of 50-38.

With the victory, LaPoynor improves its record to 22-7 on the campaign. The Flyers host Cayuga (Cayuga, TX) to play the Wildcats in a 2A Region III District 19 challenge on Tuesday, January 31. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 12-11. Cayuga won 58-35 in their recent league challenge against Cross Roads (Malakoff, TX)
