Massachusetts High School Basketball - Peabody Veterans Memorial nips Manchester Essex
February 5, 2023: Peabody, MA 01960 Peabody Veterans Memorial Tanners (Peabody, MA) backers were in high spirits Sunday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Manchester Essex Hornets (Manchester, MA), 51-48 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Peabody Veterans Memorial upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season. The Tanners host Whittier RVT (Haverhill, MA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, February 10. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 7-6.
Next up, the Hornets play the Hamilton-Wenham Regional Generals (South Hamilton, MA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 10. Manchester Essex will attempt to upgrade on its 14-2 season record. The Generals go into the bout with a 6-12 record after their 50-40 league win over Triton Regional (Byfield, MA).
