January 2, 2024: Warner, SD 57479 The Warner Monarchs basketball team (Warner, SD), was overwhelmed 69-34 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Groton Tigers (Groton, SD)
The Tigers now possess a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Clark/Willow Lake for a non-league battle on Friday, January 5. Groton will battle a Cyclones team coming off a 62-47 non-league win over Chamberlain (Chamberlain, SD). The Cyclones record now stands at 3-2.
The Monarchs (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against Ipswich (Ipswich, SD). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 6-2 record. In their last battle, Ipswich trounced Northwestern Area (Mellette, SD), 64-34, in a non-league battle.
