April 6, 2024: LaPlace, LA 70068 The St. Charles Catholic Comets (LaPlace, LA) softball the visiting Sumner Cowboys (Kentwood, LA), 8-4 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Comets (19-5) will now prepare for their bout against Archbishop Chapelle (Metairie, LA). The Chipmunks go into the non-league bout with a 19-8 record. In their last bout, Archbishop Chapelle held off Opelousas Catholic (Opelousas, LA), 2-1, in a non-league bout.
The Cowboys now possess a 13-9 record. They play next when they host Slaughter Community Charter for a non-league bout on Monday, April 8. Sumner will confront a Knights squad coming off a 13-6 non-league win over Episcopal (Baton Rouge, LA). The Knights record now stands at 11-8.
