Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Giltner Hornets (Giltner, NE) and the host High Plains Storm (Polk, NE), saw Giltner's basketball squad knock off High Plains by a tally of 45-34.

With the victory, Giltner improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Hornets host Shelby-Rising City (Shelby, NE) to play the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 9. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Shelby-Rising City won 40-29 in their recent non-league challenge against Twin River (Genoa, NE)

Next up, the Storm play the Fullerton Warriors (Fullerton, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 3. High Plains will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 40-33 non-league win over Burwell (Burwell, NE).
