The Piedmont Panthers football team (Monroe, NC), was routed 56-0 in Friday's league outing with the visiting Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC)

With the win, Porter Ridge upgrades its record to 5-2 on the season. The Pirates host Sun Valley (Monroe, NC) to encounter the Spartans in a 4A West Conference 58 outing on Friday, October 29. The Spartans go into the outing with a record of 2-7. Sun Valley lost 49-23 in their recent league outing against Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC)
