The Mercyhurst Prep Lakers basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Girard Yellowjackets to 52 in the Lakers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Lakers now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Erie First Christian Academy for a District 10 Region 2 contest on Tuesday, February 6. Mercyhurst Prep will meet a team coming off a 68-33 league loss to Girard (Girard, PA). The record now stands at 4-12.
