Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Mercyhurst Prep Lakers (Erie, PA) and the visiting Northwestern Wildcats (Albion, PA), saw Mercyhurst Prep's basketball squad wallop Northwestern by a tally of 65-30.

With the victory, Mercyhurst Prep improves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Lakers travel to North Royalton (North Royalton, OH) to play the Bears in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 27. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 5-1. North Royalton won 67-56 in their recent league challenge against Wadsworth (Wadsworth, OH)

Next up, the Wildcats play the North East Grape Pickers (North East, PA) in a District 10 Region 3 challenge, on Friday, January 5. Northwestern will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record.
