The Hunterdon Central Red Devils football team (Flemington, NJ), was knocked off 48-35 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Elizabeth Minutemen (Elizabeth, NJ)

The Minutemen (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Westfield (Westfield, NJ). The Blue Devils come into the Big Central 5A challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Westfield was knocked off by Hillsborough (Hillsborough, NJ), 28-7, in a non-league challenge.

The Red Devils now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Brunswick for a non-league challenge on Friday, October 15. Hunterdon Central will meet a Bears team coming off a 44-7 league win over Monroe Township (Monroe Township, NJ). The Bears record now stands at 5-1.
