In Tuesday's league match, the visiting George Washington Eagles basketball team scored a tight 50-44 triumph over the Halifax County Comets.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA) in a Piedmont match, on Friday, February 3. George Washington will attempt to move on its 13-7 season record. The Cougars enter the match with a 10-10 record after their 80-42 league loss to Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA).
