The Cypress Lakes Spartans basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the host Cypress Woods Wildcats to 45 in the Spartans league victory on Friday.

The Spartans now sport a 19-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cypress Springs for a 6A Region II District 16 contest on Wednesday, January 25. Cypress Lakes will battle a Panthers team coming off a 45-32 league win over Cypress Ranch (Houston, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 23-8.

The Wildcats (15-13) will now prepare for their contest against Langham Creek (Houston, TX). The Lobos come into the 6A Region II District 16 contest with a 19-9 record. In their last contest, Langham Creek edged Cypress Falls (Houston, TX), 63-33, in a league contest.
