The High Point Eagles basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Northwestern Wildcats to 35 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.

The Eagles now sport a 1-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bladensburg for a Prince George's County 4A contest on Thursday, January 12. High Point will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 41-35 league win over Laurel (Laurel, MD). The Mustangs record now stands at 8-2.

The Wildcats (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Wise (Upper Marlboro, MD). The Pumas enter the Prince George's County 4A contest with a 11-0 record. In their last contest, Wise triumphed over Eleanor Roosevelt (Greenbelt, MD), 68-63, in a league contest.
