Texas High School Basketball - Olton tops Sudan
January 2, 2024: Olton, TX 79064 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Olton Mustangs (Olton, TX) and the visiting Sudan Hornets (Sudan, TX), saw Olton's basketball squad knock off Sudan by a tally of 60-45.
With the victory, Olton improves its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to New Deal (New Deal, TX) to play the Lions in a 2A Region I District 4 challenge on Friday, January 5. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 4-12. New Deal won 95-53 in their recent league challenge against Ralls (Ralls, TX)
Next up, the Hornets play the Hale Center Owls (Hale Center, TX) in a 2A Region I District 4 challenge, on Friday, January 5. Sudan will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record. The Owls come into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 72-34 league win over Smyer (Smyer, TX).
