Ohio High School Basketball - Hopewell-Loudon overwhelms Riverdale
February 17, 2024: Mt. Blanchard, OH 45867 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains (Bascom, OH) and the host Riverdale Falcons (Mt. Blanchard, OH), saw Hopewell-Loudon's basketball squad wallop Riverdale by a count of 66-37.
With the victory, Hopewell-Loudon upgrades its record to 19-2 on the campaign. The Chieftains host Danbury (Lakeside, OH) to play the Lakers in a Sandusky Bay - River challenge on Friday, February 23. The Lakers come into the challenge with a record of 3-17. Danbury lost 78-45 in their recent league challenge against Gibsonburg (Gibsonburg, OH)
Next up, the Falcons play the Bucyrus Redmen (Bucyrus, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 20. Riverdale will attempt to upgrade on its 7-14 season record. The Redmen come into the challenge with a 4-15 record after their 73-52 league loss to Carey (Carey, OH).
