The Freedom Patriots basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the visiting Alexander Central Cougars to 44 in the Patriots league victory on Friday.

The Patriots now sport a 11-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hibriten for a 3A/4A Northwestern contest on Friday, February 2.

The Cougars (16-3) will now prepare for their contest against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Huskies come into the 3A/4A Northwestern contest with a 11-7 record. In their last contest, Ashe County was defeated by Watauga (Boone, NC), 72-42, in a league contest.
