The Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS) football defeated the visiting Columbus Falcons (Columbus, MS), 42-20 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Commodores face the Hartfield Academy Hawks (Flowood, MS) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 22. Lafayette will attempt to advance on its 3-1 season record. The Hawks enter the bout with a 6-0 record after their 54-21 non-league win over Starkville Academy (Starkville, MS).
