Pennsylvania High School Basketball - George School overwhelms Shipley
January 23, 2024: Bryn Mawr, PA 19010 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the George School Cougars (Newtown, PA) and the host Shipley (Bryn Mawr, PA), saw George School's basketball squad wallop Shipley by a tally of 69-41.
With the victory, George School improves its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Cougars host Academy of the New Church (Bryn Athyn, PA) to play the Lions in a Friends Schools challenge on Monday, January 29. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 14-4. Academy of the New Church won 73-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Lawrenceville School (Lawrenceville, NJ)
Next up, the play the Westtown (West Chester, PA) in a Friends Schools challenge, on Wednesday, January 24. Shipley will attempt to improve on its 3-10 season record. The come into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 65-35 league win over Germantown Friends (Philadelphia, PA).
