Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Hoopeston Cornjerkers (Hoopeston, IL) and the visiting Milford Bearcats (Milford, IL), saw Hoopeston's basketball squad wallop Milford by a count of 50-16.

With the victory, Hoopeston upgrades its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Cornjerkers travel to Arcola (Arcola, IL) to play the Purple Riders in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 7. The Purple Riders come into the challenge with a record of 11-4. Arcola won 61-14 in their recent league challenge against Heritage (Broadlands, IL)
