The Clifton Central Comets basketball team scored 43 points and held the host Milford Bearcats to 28 in the Comets non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Comets now sport a 7-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Illinois Lutheran for a River Valley contest on Thursday, January 5. Clifton Central will battle a Chargers team coming off a 0-0 league Grace Christian Academy (Kankakee, IL). The Chargers record now stands at 2-11.

The Bearcats (1-15) will now prepare for their contest against Salt Fork (Sidell, IL). The Storm enter the Vermilion Valley contest with a 7-5 record.
