In Thursday's league battle, the Clifton Central Comets (Clifton, IL) basketball team thwarted the host Tri-Point Chargers (Cullom, IL), by a score of 42-29.

The Comets now sport a 9-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Grace Christian Academy for a River Valley battle on Monday, January 16. Clifton Central will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 43-29 league loss to Gardner-South Wilmington (Gardner, IL). The Crusaders record now stands at 6-9.
