Minnesota High School Basketball - Monticello topples North Branch
January 18, 2024: North Branch, MN 55056 In Thursday's non-league outing, the Monticello Magic (Monticello, MN) basketball squad beat the host North Branch Vikings (North Branch, MN), by a count of 61-43.
The Magic (15-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Becker (Becker, MN). The Bulldogs come into the AAA Section 5 challenge with a 10-4 record. In their last challenge, Becker toppled Big Lake (Big Lake, MN), 56-40, in a league challenge.
Next up, the Vikings play the Braham Bombers (Braham, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 22. North Branch will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Bombers come into the challenge with a 12-3 record after their 65-36 non-league win over Hinckley-Finlayson (Hinckley, MN).
