Ohio High School Basketball - Eastern knocked off by Northwest
January 23, 2024: Beaver, OH 45613 The Northwest Mohawks basketball team scored 66 points and held the host Eastern Eagles to 57 in the Mohawks league triumph on Tuesday.
The Mohawks now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Western for a Southern Ohio II contest on Friday, January 26. Northwest will battle a Indians team coming off a 59-53 league loss to Symmes Valley (Willow Wood, OH). The Indians record now stands at 4-10.
The Eagles (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Oak Hill (Oak Hill, OH). The Oaks enter the Southern Ohio II contest with a 4-10 record. In their last contest, Oak Hill ran past St. Joseph Central (Ironton, OH), 56-46, in a non-league contest.
