North Carolina High School Basketball - Covenant Day tops Corvian Community

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Covenant Day Lions (Matthews, NC) and the visiting Corvian Community Cardinals (Charlotte, NC), saw Covenant Day's basketball squad knock off Corvian Community by a count of 61-41.

With the victory, Covenant Day upgrades its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Lions host Wesleyan Christian Academy (High Point, NC) to play the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 6. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 2-6. Wesleyan Christian Academy won 68-62 in their recent non-league challenge against Asheville Christian Academy (Swannanoa, NC)

The Cardinals (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Cannon (Concord, NC). The Cougars come into the non-league battle with a 8-2 record. In their last battle, Cannon beat Lexington (Lexington, SC), 66-47, in a non-league battle.
