October 1, 2021: Gray, ME 04039 The Gray-New Gloucester Patriots football team (Gray, ME), was ripped 50-16 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Spruce Mountain Phoenix (Jay, ME)
The Phoenix (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Mountain Valley (Rumford, ME). The Falcons come into the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Mountain Valley was ripped by Dirigo (Dixfield, ME), 16-6, in a league challenge.
The Patriots now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cheverus for a 8-Man Large South (8 Man) challenge on Saturday, October 9. Gray-New Gloucester will meet a Stags team coming off a 44-32 league win over Mt. Ararat/Hyde (Topsham, ME). The Stags record now stands at 3-0.
