Pennsylvania High School Football - Riverview felled by Northgate

The Riverview Raiders football team (Oakmont, PA), was knocked off 38-21 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Northgate Flames (Pittsburgh, PA)

The Flames (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against South Side (Hookstown, PA). The Rams come into the WPIAL A Big 7 challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, South Side knocked off Burgettstown (Burgettstown, PA), 41-7, in a non-league challenge.

The Raiders now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clairton for a WPIAL A Eastern challenge on Friday, September 15. Riverview will meet a Bears team coming off a 38-7 non-league win over Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (Coraopolis, PA). The Bears record now stands at 1-2.
