The Manistee Chippewas (Manistee, MI) basketball crushed the visiting Tri County Area Vikings (Howard City, MI), 71-49 in Friday's non-league test.

The Chippewas (10-10) will now prepare for their test against Forest Area (Fife Lake, MI). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 4-16 record. In their last test, Forest Area was trounced by Mancelona (Mancelona, MI), 68-29, in a league test.

The Vikings now own a 5-15 record. They play next when they host Morley Stanwood for a non-league test on Thursday, February 22. Tri County Area will encounter a Mohawks squad coming off a 57-52 non-league loss to Central Montcalm (Stanton, MI). The Mohawks record now stands at 2-16.
