The Moshannon Valley Black Knights/Damsels (Houtzdale, PA) basketball knocked off the visiting Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers (Philipsburg, PA), 39-26 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Black Knights/Damsels (4-8) will now prepare for their test against Curwensville (Curwensville, PA). The Golden Tide go into the Inter County - North test with a 0-9 record. In their last test, Curwensville went down by Harmony Area (Westover, PA), 50-28, in a non-league test.

The Mountaineers now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they host Bald Eagle Area for a Mountain test on Thursday, January 19. Philipsburg-Osceola will battle a Bald Eagles team coming off a 40-28 non-league win over East Juniata (McAlisterville, PA). The Bald Eagles record now stands at 5-9.
