January 22, 2024: Indian Head, MD 20640 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Lackey Chargers (Indian Head, MD) and the visiting La Plata Warriors (La Plata, MD), saw Lackey's basketball squad hold off La Plata by a count of 53-46.
With the victory, Lackey upgrades its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Great Mills (Great Mills, MD) to play the Hornets in a Southern Maryland challenge on Wednesday, January 24. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 10-3. Great Mills won 60-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Oakland Mills (Columbia, MD)
Next up, the Warriors play the North Point Eagles (Waldorf, MD) in a Southern Maryland challenge, on Wednesday, January 24. La Plata will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 4-8 record after their 59-29 league loss to St. Charles (Waldorf, MD).
