Washington High School Basketball - Mount Vernon tops Oak Harbor
January 6, 2022: Oak Harbor, WA 98277 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Mount Vernon Bulldogs (Mount Vernon, WA) and the host Oak Harbor Wildcats (Oak Harbor, WA), saw Mount Vernon's basketball squad knock off Oak Harbor by a count of 48-39.
With the victory, Mount Vernon upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Anacortes (Anacortes, WA) to play the Seahawks in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge on Tuesday, January 11. The Seahawks come into the challenge with a record of 1-4. Anacortes lost 41-38 in their recent league challenge against Sehome (Bellingham, WA)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Lynden Lions (Lynden, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge, on Wednesday, January 12. Oak Harbor will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 66-31 league win over Squalicum (Bellingham, WA).
