Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Broome Centurions (Spartanburg, SC) and the visiting Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers (Greer, SC), saw Broome's basketball squad hold off Blue Ridge by a tally of 60-59.

With the victory, Broome improves its record to 7-10 on the campaign. The Centurions host Union County (Union, SC) to encounter the Yellowjackets in a non-league test on Friday, January 13. The Yellowjackets go into the test with a record of 10-8. Union County lost 57-52 in their recent league test against Chester (Chester, SC)

The Fighting Tigers now own a 4-15 record. They play next when they host Carolina Academy for a AAA Region 3 test on Thursday, January 12. Blue Ridge will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 65-36 league loss to Travelers Rest (Travelers Rest, SC). The Trojans record now stands at 4-13.
