The Ponder Lions basketball team scored 67 points and held the host Boyd Yellowjackets to 21 in the Lions league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lions now sport a 17-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Valley View for a 3A Region II District 10 contest on Tuesday, January 2. Ponder will meet a Eagles team coming off a 44-26 league win over Callisburg (Gainesville, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 3-6.

The Yellowjackets (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Whitesboro (Whitesboro, TX). The Bearcats enter the 3A Region II District 10 contest with a 3-10 record.
