The Red Mountain Mountain Lions softball team scored 4 runs and limited the visiting Desert Vista Thunder to 2 in the Mountain Lions non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Red Mountain improves its record to 7-2 on the year. The Mountain Lions host Perry (Gilbert, AZ) to meet the Pumas in a non-league battle on Monday, March 27. The Pumas go into the battle with a record of 7-7. Perry won 7-5 in their recent non-league battle against Mountain View (Mesa, AZ)

The Thunder now possess a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Mountain View for a non-league battle on Saturday, March 25. Desert Vista will meet a Toros squad coming off a 13-2 non-league win over Chandler (Chandler, AZ). The Toros record now stands at 6-8.
