The Newaygo Lions basketball team scored 81 points and held the host Tri County Area Vikings to 76 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now sport a 11-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shelby for a non-league contest on Monday, February 12. Newaygo will meet a Tigers team coming off a 67-58 league loss to Ravenna (Ravenna, MI). The Tigers record now stands at 3-14.

The Vikings (4-13) will now prepare for their contest against Morley Stanwood (Morley, MI). The Mohawks enter the non-league contest with a 1-15 record. In their last contest, Morley Stanwood was nudged by White Cloud (White Cloud, MI), 65-41, in a league contest.
