The Southmoreland Scotties (Alverton, PA) basketball knocked off the visiting Ringgold Rams (Monongahela, PA), 42-30 in Thursday's league test.

The Scotties (1-11) will now prepare for their test against Uniontown (Uniontown, PA). The Red Raiders go into the WPIAL 4A 3 test with a 4-8 record. In their last test, Uniontown notched a victory over Albert Gallatin (Uniontown, PA), 45-38, in a non-league test.
