North Carolina High School Volleyball - McDowell can't hold off R-S Central

September 13, 2023: Marion, NC 28752

In Wednesday's non-league battle, the visiting R-S Central Hilltoppers volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the McDowell Titans.

The Hilltoppers (3-8) will now prepare for their battle against Gaffney (Gaffney, SC). The Indians come into the non-league battle with a 10-3 record. In their last battle, Gaffney nudged Spartanburg (Spartanburg, SC), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Titans clash with the Asheville Cougars (Asheville, NC) in a The Mountain 3A/4A battle, on Thursday, September 14. McDowell will attempt to advance on its 8-3 season record. The Cougars come into the battle with a 3-5 record after their 3-0 league loss to T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC).
