Bishop Shanahan Eagles (Downingtown, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Villa Maria Academy Hurricanes (Malvern, PA), 33-22 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bishop Shanahan upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Eagles travel to Reading (Reading, PA) to play the Red KNights in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 2. The Red KNights go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Hurricanes play the Lower Moreland Lions (Huntingdon Valley, PA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 4. Villa Maria Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 45-36 non-league loss to New Hope-Solebury (New Hope, PA).
