Texas High School Basketball - Southwest Legacy nips Southwest

January 20, 2023: Von Ormy, TX 78073

Southwest Legacy Titans (Von Ormy, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Southwest Dragons (San Antonio, TX), 48-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, Southwest Legacy upgrades its record to 11-19 on the campaign. The Titans host McCollum (San Antonio, TX) to play the Cowboys in a 5A Region IV District 28 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Cowboys come into the bout with a record of 21-8. McCollum won 56-54 in their recent league bout against Harlandale (San Antonio, TX)

Next up, the Dragons play the Winn Mavericks (Eagle Pass, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 28 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Southwest will attempt to upgrade on its 11-19 season record. The Mavericks come into the bout with a 7-12 record after their 76-42 league loss to Medina Valley (Castroville, TX).
