Maryland High School Softball - Great Mills bounces Thomas Stone
April 26, 2023: Waldorf, MD 20601 Great Mills Hornets (Great Mills, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Thomas Stone Cougars (Waldorf, MD), 22-6 in a league challenge.
The Hornets now own a 5-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chopticon for a Southern Maryland challenge on Thursday, April 27. Great Mills will face a Braves squad coming off a 5-4 league win over Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD). The Braves record now stands at 14-2.
With the loss, Thomas Stone drops to 1-11 on the year. The Cougars host La Plata (La Plata, MD) to clash with the Warriors in a Southern Maryland game on Friday, April 28. The Warriors come into the game with a record of 10-3. La Plata won 8-0 in their recent league game against St. Charles (Waldorf, MD)
