January 29, 2024: Moravia, IA 52571 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Montezuma Braves (Montezuma, IA) and the host Moravia Mohawks (Moravia, IA), saw Montezuma's basketball squad hold off Moravia by a tally of 79-73.
With the victory, Montezuma improves its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Braves host H-L-V (Victor, IA) to play the Warriors in a South Iowa Cedar challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 4-11. H-L-V lost 59-51 in their recent league challenge against Colfax-Mingo (Colfax, IA)
Next up, the Mohawks play the Murray Mustangs (Murray, IA) in a Bluegrass challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Moravia will attempt to improve on its 11-3 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 13-6 record after their 62-28 league win over Twin Cedars (Bussey, IA).
